The International Lawyers Project (ILP) and CUTS Lusaka recently co-hosted a webinar exploring the risks to civil liberties in Zambia and the closing of civic space, after the recent enactment of Zambia's new cyber laws. It was a timely conversation ahead of Zambia’s recently held national elections, which have presented new opportunities for important legal reforms in this area. Zambian speakers from Centre for Trade Policy & Development Zambia (CTPD) and Airtel Zambia were joined by ILP media law expert Barbara Swann, presenting her in-depth report for CUTS.
