When I applied for this internship I was excited to learn about how laws and policies interact in the international sphere. I was also excited about the possibility of mentorship from seasoned professionals within the organisation.
During my time at ILP, I have improved my research and analytical skills. Thanks to my supervisor, I also participated in capacity building activities that taught me presentation and communication skills. I assisted my supervisor by preparing a policy brief for publication.
I am grateful for the opportunity for this exposure, professional growth and development. I have now been offered a permanent job with an American international development organisation.
